The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right

Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit

O Blessed Spirit of WISDOM,
help me to seek God,
make Him the Center of my life and order my life to Him,
so that love and harmony reign in my soul.

and love the truths of faith
and make them truly my own.

O Blessed Spirit of COUNSEL,
enlighten and guide me in all my ways

of trouble or adversity.

O Blessed Spirit of HOLY FEAR,
penetrate my inmost heart that I may ever be mindful of Your Presence.
Make me fly from sin and give me intense reverence for God
and for my fellow men who are made in God's image.

Reflective Prayer

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

Thanksgiving Prayer

Thank You, O God, for hearing my prayer and granting my request. Thank You for all the kindness You have shown me.

Thank you, Father, for Your great love in giving me my life, for Your great patience in preserving me despite my sinfulness, for Your protection in the past and for the opportunity to serve and honor You in the future.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for keeping me numberless times from sin and death by the toils of Your life, the sufferings of Your Passion and by Your victorious Resurrection.

Thank You, Holy Spirit of God, for bestowing so many graces upon my soul and for having so frequently renewed Your life within me. May my life from now on be a sign of my gratefulness. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Prayer for the Helpless Unborn

Heavenly Father, you created mankind in your own image and you desire that not even the least among us should perish. In your love for us, you entrusted your only son to the holy Virgin Mary. Now, in your love, protect against the wickedness of the evil one, those little ones to whom you have given the gift of life. Amen.

Lord Jesus, up until now You have been quietly preparing me to be Your disciple. Now the time of preparation is ending. I seem to hear You say to me, as once to Peter, "Will you also go away?" You were saddened then by friends who failed You. But Peter did not fail. "Lord," he said, "to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."

I stand with Peter. Through prayer and counsel, show me, Lord, where it is in Your vineyard that You want me to serve. Then give me strength to be faithful.

Mary, Mother and Model, help me to respond in generous love to the call of your Divine Son.

The Miracle Prayer

Healing Prayer at Bedtime

Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, go back into my memory as I sleep. Every hurt that has ever been done to me --- heal that hurt. Every hurt that I have ever caused to another person --- heal that hurt. All the relationships that have been damaged in my whole life that I'm not aware of --- heal those relationships. But Lord, if there is anything that I need to do --- if I need to go to a person because he is still suffering from my hand, bring to my awareness that person. I choose to forgive and ask to be forgiven. Remove whatever bitterness may be in my heart, Lord, and fill the empty spaces with your love. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Your Cross

The everlasting God has in His wisdom foreseen from eternity the cross that He now presents to you as a gift of His inmost Heart. This cross He now sends you He has considered with His all-knowing eyes, understood with His divine mind, tested with His wise justice, warmed with loving arms and weighed with His own hands to see that it be not one inch too large and not one ounce too heavy for you. He has blessed it with His holy Name, anointed it with His grace, perfumed it with His consolation, taken one last glance at you and your courage, and then sent it to you from heaven, a special greeting from God to you, an alms of the all-merciful love of God. The Golden Arrow: An Act of Praise and Reparation

His Love in Our Hearts

O sweetest Jesus! Fervent with admiration, I praise Thy Holy Lips filled with heavenly wisdom and uttering words of grace for the remission of sin. Prayer of Abandonment

Father, I abandon myself into Your hands; do with me as You will. For whatever You do, I thank You. I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only Your Will be done in me, as in all Your creatures. I ask nothing else My Lord. Radiating Christ

Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go.

Flood my soul with Your Spirit and life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of You.

Shine through me, and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with, may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see me no longer---but only You, O Lord!

Stay with me; then I shall begin to shine as You are; so to shine as to be light to others. The light O Jesus will be all from You; none of it will be mine; it will be You shining on others through me. Let me thus praise You in the way You love best, by shining on those around me.

Let me preach You without preaching not by words but my example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to You. AMEN.
