Saint Francis Xavier, patron of the missions and apostle of Asia, we thank God for the great grace which He gave you in life and the great glory which is yours in heaven today. We ask for your intercession so that you will secure for us the grace of living and dying united to our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask, too, that you will obtain for us this favor __________________________ for which we are making this novena.
Confidently we place this request in your keeping, and ask that it may bring glory to God and peace to us. Amen.

Let us pray:
O God, you were pleased to begin the establishment of your Church in Asia through the preaching and miracles of St. Francis Xavier. Mercifully grant that we may grow in unit with You, as we hold in veneration this saint whose zeal won so many people to Your honor and glory. We ask this through Jesus Christ Your Son who lives and reigns with You for ever and ever. Amen.
